| Admins | The map of Europe according to NBA NBA is organizing an event called "Europe Live" where American sides will travel to Europe and they will have some games against European sides. One of this games will be played in Turkey (Minessota Timberwolves vs Efes Pilsen). This map is in the official website of NBA right now. The countries where games are going to be played are in red: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Let's see for how long the map will be at the site. |

| GR Member | Re: The map of Europe according to NBA Yes map made by Americans. When there was riots in France i saw on the American TV that they where talking about it. Then they showed a map of france to show where citys are burning. Not even one city was on the right place on the map , not even Paris. The only thing they know about Turkey is that they eat it for Thanksgiving

| GR Fanatic | Re: The map of Europe according to NBA Jesus. I want an official apology. I'm going to write them an email and I suggest everyone else do the same. That was genuinely disconcerting. Hell, it is bad enough that they even consider Turkey a European country; only 3% is in Europe (3% that rightfully belongs to Greece). But that map was extremely offensive. My family is from Chios too, which is like adding an insult to an insult to an injury. This is not funny. |

| GR Fanatic | Re: The map of Europe according to NBA You can write NBA.com To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and let them know Greek-Americans demand an official apology. The tensions between Greece and Turkey are very real. This shows a severe lack of good judgment or just plain incompetence. Things like this fuel resentments. And that is dangerous. We should report this to a media outlet. If it were almost any other countries it would not matter. But this is like making a map of Israel that includes territories that belong to Palestine. | GR Fanatic | Re: The map of Europe according to NBA I joined NBA.com just so I could email them a complaint (pretty much what I wrote above): I want you to know that as a Greek-American I demand an apology for the very offensive map shown at the link below. This will likely produce little more than an (expected) apology in my email box. But I feel better. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater.
