I think I made mine obvious in some of my posts. NOTIS SFAKIANAKIS is THE TOP. I like him for his voice and the kind of music he sings, but also for his mentality and ideology. Also he is one of the few really "virile" singers left in Greece.

Favorite Metal singer is definately Ronnie James.
My choice for Rock would have to be Chris Cornel the singer from that old hard rock band Soundgarden. |

I've heard him cover "To Vapori Apo Tin Persia" when I saw him live. Excellent.
With metal SINGERS it comes down to ****inson, Halford, Dio. A special mention goes to Klaus Meine??? from the Scorpions. |

Besides his voice I want to add that he always choses what to sing and what he choses qualitative songs regarding the lyrics and the music.
He is not accepting any crap songs the songsmiths give him, poor music with lyrics which just make a rhyme, like unfortunately a lot of the modern laika singers do. |

Unfortunate thing is that their is so much talent out their but if they dont bend to the corporates like you stated above they just wont get anywhere in most cases unless they are lucky. |

Many talents are brushed away, replaced by "artists" who have no talent and they are promoted for other reasons.
This crisis could not leave out Greece. However, if I make a comparison with the rest of the world I am satisfied with the current music level of Greece.
Unlike most countries of the West where qualitative music is history, in Greece modern qualitative music exists. |

Unlike most countries of the West where qualitative music is history, in Greece modern qualitative music exists. | I am also adding that the rapid spread and ruinousness of the Anglo/American pop and rock, tends to vanish many genres of local music all over the world, and that's something bad. Fortunately it is not happening in Greece. |
