My lifelong classical music idol is Beethoven. However, I have recently discovered Vivaldi and I like him equally. Everyone must already be familiar with his "The Four Seasons". Nigel Kennedy is an excellent performer of The Four Seasons. If anyone is interested, check out his DVD.
Here is the 3rd movement of Summer from that DVD. It is my favorite of the four seasons.

Plain astonishing. Makes one feel like learning to play the violin.

Haha. I have to admit that this wrong-vedeo-thing made me laugh, sorry! LOL
Well, as for Vivaldi, (althought that my parents didn't raise me up with piano, classical music and french lol) I can say that he is really good!
This '3rd movement' is very famous, but I never knew that is from Vivaldi. *Shame on me*
I like the rythme too, its fast.
It has a lot of power, energy and tension. (I am so poetic! lol!)
Very nice. :)
But I don't understand why is he jumping around??? LoL!
Oh, I didn't know that the 3rd movement is that famous. I knew about The Four Seasons a long time ago, but never paid much attention until I discovered Vivaldi through his other compositions.
Imagine, I read they have found more than 700 compositions and they are still finding some more. I think he was the most prolific classical music composer. And as you say, he is very good. His music is aerial, unlike any other classical music, except maybe the Strausses'.
I find Nigel jumping pretty cool, don't you? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Did you notice the sunglasses? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I don't know him, Prokomenos, is he the same person like Richard Wagner?
Here is another video. Beethoven Moonlight Sonata, 3rd movement, played by Wilhelm Kempff. I read that he was the best interpreter of Beethoven. Well, Psycho, you may like this too. Beethoven is well known for his passionate music.
