France: No EU Enlargement Without Treaty

It is unwise for the European Union to embrace enlargement until it irons out problems regarding institutional reform, the French President has reiterated.

“I have nothing against enlargement because the European family must be brought together but I want to say that we must not make mistakes again,” Nicolas Sarkozy said.

I hope Skopia gets vetoed again for using our Hellenic "Macedonia" name and by France and other countries too. They don't deserve to be apart of any union. I bet even the African union wouldn't take them!

Turkey does not belong in the EU considering its not part of Europe to begin with and Skopia well aslong as they make absurd claims on Greek lands and history they should never become part of the EU like napalm said.

Is the Nice Treaty still in effect since the Lisbon one has not been approved? I think the EU should put on hold further enlargement until the "new" countries have been fully integrated at least. Otherwise you have a fractured EU with rich and dominant countries and the poor countries basically doing their bidding.
