| We live among them | Re: dodekatheist Quote:
First of all if someone has brains on his head he can read ancient scripts such as Orfika and will understand that all the Hellenic gods were different forms of the One.... Also I believe that Christianism has nothing to do with judism it just comes out from ancient hellinic beliefs... but those stupid 12theists cant see the truth and they are against orthodox , they also blaim christians for demolishing ancient temples and building upon them churces .... well that was bad , but if you keep your people uncivilized you can manage to do such things ... Something else.....do u know why Parthenon is in such condition? because around 1780 ( i dont remember well the year ) an a..hole general from Venice called Morozini ( i say Moron-zini) bombed the temple to destroy a turkish guard during a siege ... amazing .... | |

| Για την Αρχαία Ψυχή! | Re: dodekatheist This is a wrong term actually. None serious Greek-pagan calls himself like that. They are called Hellenes Ethnikoi (Έλληνες Εθνικοί) and according to the Christian Orthodox Church they are more than 100.000 believers. Gods/Goddesses as you might know are more than twelve. But numbers aren't the difference between, the so called by the christians, polytheism and monotheism. It is about the place of god/s in the world. The judeo-christian god is an out-cosmic spirit while the gods (which are the multiplied one) exist inside of this world. The truth is that Christianity wasn't established with roses in our beloved country, there have been cruelties through the centuries against our ethnic religion. Temples have been burnt and people have been killed by fanatic early christians. They were free to do that because of the tolerance that was given with laws of the Eastern Roman Empire (or of what it is called by fanatic and unhistoric christians,Byzantium). Personally I am not a christian, an asian belief isn't for me. I can answer you about the Parthenon. The Parthenon was once a Hellenic temple dedicated to the Virgin Athena (Does this sound familiar?). After many years the christian Romans arrived ("Byzantines") and destroyed this awesome temple. They reconstracted as a christian church dedicated to Panagia of Athens. Then it's the Ottomans that transformed it to a Islamic temple. In 1687 Morosini's invades Athens with his Venetian army and bombs Turks inside the Acropolis. This cost a huge damage at the Parthenon. And ofcourse will shouldn't forget the polution problem by cars in Athens.. |
