Your favorite Movie?

My favorite Greek movie has to Pavlos Melas movie, very patriotic and makes me damn proud to be Greek. I also like watching Vengo and Kostandara..

I also like non Greek movies such as Braveheart, The Gladiator, Clockwork Orange and the Warriors.

Zorba the Greek is a classic. Guns of Navarone is a great movie with a lot of Greek themes in it. Never on Sunday has a great soundtrack.

Movies that I've watched are the Rocky 1-5, Indiana Jones, Mad Max trilogy (director, Geroge Miller (Miliotis)) Goodfellas.


Greast Greek director, I'd say is the late great, Elia Kazan.

Where can I start. One of my ultimate favorites is Grease with Olivia Newton and John Travolta he is so hot.

What do Greek movies like Zorba and Never on Sunday convey the best? It is our inner essence, that undefined part of our souls that explodes with life. We show joy and sorrow from our hearts. We do what everyone else does but we know how to live, kefi. Zorba, one of the most notable characters in literature and the movies, wore his heart on his sleeve and right or wrong did not fear to share his inner self with those around him. To me, friendship, loyalty, honesty and passion are our greatest gifts and even though I'm prejudiced (I'm Greek) we embrace these qualities better than anyone else.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy exemplified these ideals. Considering that Tolkien had a classical education, it is no wonder that this epic story employs many aspects of greek mythology and literature in its telling.
I'll watch anything once. Check out
