Honestly, what can you expect by a band named PHANTOM LORD? Wrong! The Greek band delivers Power Metal that doesn't exactly have anything in common with METALLICA...
After a dark intro, which would fit any Black Metal-band, the band hymn opens up quite speedy, but even though the music wriggles into your ears quite neatly, it doesn't offer anything that would make you listen up, apart from the voice, which is not bad, but still gives you the impression that something doesn't work out the way it's supposed to. Musically you have fast ("Phantom Lord", "See You In Hell", "Full Of Hate", "Uprising"), mid-paced ("Beheading The Night", "Mercyful Soul") and also stomping songs ("Proven Innocence", "Edge Of Hell"), so there's no lack on variety.
Might be that I don't recognise a vocal god again, something some people have accused me of with more than one American band, but this is the biggest weak point of PHANTOM LORD, musically you cannot complain.
