This Sunday is the big show with Helloween and Gammaray! Can't freakin wait!
Having played almost 50 concerts all over Europe, Japan, South East Asia and Australia in support of their new album “Gambling With The Devil”, the German power metal legend Helloween is finally taking the Hellish Rock Tour to Northern America.

Alongside Switzerland's Celtic Frost and Sweden's Bathory, Germany's HELLOWEEN were possibly the most influential heavy metal band to come out of Europe during the 1980s.

By taking the hard riffing and minor key melodies handed down from metal masters like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, then infusing them with the speed and energy introduced by the burgeoning thrash metal movement, Helloween crystallized the sonic ingredients of what is now known as power metal. To this day, they remain the benchmark by which most every power metal band is measured.


In the 18th year of their international career, Gamma Ray have once again proved that they count among the most important and inventive acts on the international melodic metal scene. And they have a few more surprises up their sleeve: This fall, the band will embark on the Hellish Rock Tour, alongside Helloween - a special project, promising to give the fans their money’s worth.

“The idea for the tour matured during a number of major festivals, where Gamma Ray and Helloween both played. We even did a jam session together at the Monsters Of Rock in Bulgaria, which was celebrated enthusiastically by the audience. As both bands’ schedules are running parallel for the first time in years, we decided to put this idea into practice at last.“

The fans can look forward to a full 70-minute Gamma Ray show with their own stage set, plus a nightly session together with Helloween, likely to feature a number of classics from Kai Hansen’s own Helloween era. Another way of expressing the freedom of mind and body, as conjured up on Land Of The Free – II!

What a great show last night at BB Kings. Helloween was freakin amazing. Ive got to admit I think Helloween plays best live then all the bands that Ive seen. Deris is a great freakin front man and has an awesome voice live. The rest of the band is good to. The bassist was hilarious. I was not impressed with Gammaray at all. They didnt seem to have that much life on stage. At the end of the show both Helloween and Gammaray played together. That was pretty good. I went with two of my friends and within an hour their where around 30 Greeks which we all knew eachother from Astoria and a guys that I used to hang out . Also the band Phoenix Reign was their in our group to. I just wished that one of us brought a Greek flag with us that would of been cool.
