| Re: The Fall of Constantinople 1453 Also dont forget during the siege of Constantinople if the Ottomans did not posses the canon Constantinople might of possibly been saved. The walls surrounding her provided strong fortification. They did not know that the enemy possesed that huge canon. If they would of known ahead of time they might of had a different stragedy. |

| Re: The Fall of Constantinople 1453 Thats not the point. My point is if they did not have the canon the city might of been able to hold off longer and maybe in time for more troops to arrive. If that would of happen Im sure things would of been a lot different. |

Maybe the things are better with the collapse of the Byzantium.... that made Hellenes to realize and remember again their ethnic id |
