These videos have to be from Axion Esti. I watched the whole contest on TV a few years ago and it was breathtaking. A real historical document of Greek music and culture.

Yes the lyrics to those songs were from the poet, Elytis, which is based of his work "Axion Esti"

Yesterday night I went to Theodorakis,Maria Farantouri,Zulfu Livaneli concert,no surprise Thodorakis was not there. Well,I don't know the reason but it's disrespectful.

Maria Faranturi fascinated me,actually her voice fascinated everyone in the hall.

Theodorakis is 82 years old and in very bad health. He didn't even make it to Bithikotsi's funeral.

All the good originals are either dying or are very sick. Good that cd exist so we can listen whenever we want.

That's why I didn't want to miss the chance to watch him in one of his concerts, while he is alive and while he can still make music.
