Last year I went at a concert dedicated to Theodorakis in Argos and he was there. However as Megale said his age and health does not let him to appear frequently.

I know he sang some in the 75th birthday CD with Maria Farantouri, as well as in the CD with Zulfu Livanelli.

I don't know but this youtube link might lead you in the right direction. As great as a composer Theodorakis is you might think differently once you hear him sing!

Oh what is this, Megale? I can't believe it.

This is the first time I see Mikis singing. After all those years, I finally see him singing Eimaste Dio. You made me cry with this video, but I thank you, Megale, apo cardias. I agree he is not a "singer" but he sings with such passion and such sincerity that the most beautiful singer's voice cannot reproduce.

To me, Mikis is the greatest Greek person alive.

Thanks again. Now, I have to go watch the other videos in your link see if there are any more songs or just music.

A few days ago I saw on TV a most recent video of Theodorakis singing. It was taken a few years ago - he was over 75 then I guess and it was obvious that he had difficulty in talking. However he was still singing with such a passion and "fighting spirit". It is really admirable seeing a person of his age and condition still having such a passion.

Theodorakis proved he is a life-long "rebel", unlike others, if you understand me.

Ellinas, you are lucky to see him on Greek TV. Yes, I understand perfectly what you mean by life-long "rebel". Mikis has done everything, composing, singing, politics, being in prison for his ideas, etc. He has so much fire and life in him, he is like Zorba The Greek to me.
