I like Vietnamese food: spring rolls, pho (beef noodle soup), chicken lemongrass with vermicelli, etc. Has anyone tried it?

No, it is very tasty but not spicy. It is very well liked in France and now in North America, it is gaining popularity. Here is a picture:

Vietnamese food uses a lot of fresh vegetables (instead of fried or cooked) and a lot of rice vermicelli (instead of pasta), so it is very light and not greasy. You may want to try some if you happen to know a Vietnamese restaurant in your area. Don't forget to order banana fried in batter as dessert.

If you didn't get knocked out by a smell similar to old dirty socks when you walked inside then it wasn't Vietnamese. Teriyaki is traditionally Japanese. But every other Asian people seems to offer it in some form now.

Teriyaki is delicious if you get it from a good Japanese restaurant with Japanese people making it. Makes all the difference. You may have gone to one where illegal mexicans were doing the cooking and in that case, who knows what you really ate.

Yes, jejeje well in mexico if you go to a Japanese restaurant with japanese people you can find a very traditional food but if you go to a Japanese restauran with mexican, well some of them put mexican ingredients and make the dish very different (but just some restaurants, I can't say this for all), the mexican people in mexican restaurants is very clean, about the illegal mexicans i can't say anything, I don't know them

The spicy soup I had was probably from a Thai restaurant....very spicy....flames came out of my mouth lol
But I know this soup with vegetables and rice vermicelli...it is nice. The fried banana you eat in a chinese restaurant here...also very nice
