| The people of Serbia have every right to set up their own government however they see fit, but I personally don't see any advantage to having a monarch.
Hereditary political power is dangerous, and if the monarch has no real power, then they are just a costly figurehead. |
Costly?,why? Does a king eat more than a president? Does the presidential elections every 4 years cost less than a very small yearly sum of money for the King of one's country?
Can a president be blessed by the church,for his 4 year mandat? Can a president say that he was elected by the hole nation,or just 50% or more?
Many parliamentary monarchies in Europe are the most advanced countries,such as :
* Principality of Andorra
* Kingdom of Belgium
* Kingdom of Denmark
* Principality of Liechtenstein
* Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
* Principality of Monaco
* Kingdom of the Netherlands
* Kingdom of Norway
* Kingdom of Spain
* Kingdom of Sweden
* United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
* State of the Vatican City
