As the Greek Ambassador was....

I was told about this and found it to be hilarious due to the fact ,that it actually happened for real....

One week ago, in a UN meeting, as the Greek ambassador was preparing to begin his speech:



"Before I start, I'd like to tell you a story about Alexander the Great. Once he was done taming Voukefalas (his horse) and while heading back to Pella, he came across Axios river. He thought that this was a good chance to have a bath. He took off his clothes, left them on a nearby rock and dove. After swimming for some time, he got out, only to realize that his clothes were missing. A SLAV (not slave) from Macedonia had robbed him of his clothes...."



Immediately, the FYROMian UN ambassador stood up shouting: "What are you talking about, there were NO SLAVS in that part of the world back then!!!!"



The Greek ambassador, smiling from ear to ear, responded: "Good! Now that we're done clarifying this, I can begin my speech!!!!"



Everyone started grinning and laughing on the face of the FYROMian ambassador, who realized his stupidity but too late.
