I was just talking to my grandfather, and he is proud to be Greek, VERY patriotic. But he agrees with the law to legalize the immigrants.

Re: Opposition leader condemns new law as ‘dangerous’

Well I was actually shocked when he said that, but it's his opinion.

Well he himself is an immigrant since he came from Greece when he was younger. He was poor and worked to live as an immigrant in Australia. So he knows what it's like to be an immigrant in another country. He said if someone lives in Greece for 10 years, Greek or not, they should have the right to a citizenship.

Being an ultranationalist, I have to disagree.

Re: Opposition leader condemns new law as ‘dangerous’

In normal circumstances, it would be nice if the host country offers citizenship to long-residing immigrants who follow the law and integrate well and especially to the children who are born there. Imagine yourself if Australia did not give citizenship to your grandfather and that two generations later, you are not considered a citizen neither? That means you don't have any citizenship, unless you apply for Greek citizenship and you manage to get it through the red tape. If you don't have a citizenship, there is nothing much that you can do. Where do you stand on?

But then, it depends on the circumstances of the country whether they are able to absorb the immigrants or not.

Re: Opposition leader condemns new law as ‘dangerous’

It is facetious and infantile to compare Australia, Canada and the other immigrant countries, with Greece. Greece is an ethnic homeland, there is no calling for foreigners to arrive, and establish colonial settlements in our small piece land. Our Greek mainland can not accomodate all the Greeks of the world, how on earth are we tolerating the importation of non Greek, non assimilable elements into our gene and social pool ? It is insanity . Our constitution guarantees the Jus sanguiniuis law, not the jus solis. The constitution is being raped and violated. A greek is born, a Greek is not made out of a piece of paper granted by a politician in a state of moral putrefaction and following the examples of other degenerate nations. The law is a mortal dagger thrust into the heart of Greek homogenity. Samaras can bark like a dog, but where is the bite ? If Samaras ever gets elected, he being a "conservative", will simple " conserve" and " retain" the trecherous law, which is the death knell of the nation. The invasion door is still open. Thousands of invaders are streamingi in daily. The government is hostile to genuine and native Helleneic interests, the government is anti Greek. The immigrant invaders are growing in numbers exponentially, through time they will start replacing genuine Greeks. We have become an offshore manufacturing plant of EU nuveau citizens; we grant papers to invaders, just like the Spaniards are doing, and the Maltese. The message is spreading world wide. In Lagos, Nigeria, the message to all those who want out of the cloacal sewers of that black blighted piece of land in Africa, is : " Get into Greece", thereafter everything is easy. Is Samaras, aware of this ? Is anybody aware of this ? The government of the rascall unspeakable Papandreu and his filthy eunuchs are fully aware of this, actively participating in the dismemberment of Greece as an etnia and ethnic homeland, and their solution is to lie prostrate and take it with a smile and isuue edicts, laws , regulations, citizenship to legitimize the " replacement" of the Greeks
