![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Archbishop Ieronymos has given the go-ahead for the creation of a Muslim cemetery in Athens, Deputy Foreign Minister Theodoros Kassimis said yesterday after talks with the new Church leader. “His Beatitude Ieronymos was already prepared and told me that we should move forward and realize (the project),” Kassimis said following his talks with the archbishop. The move signals the desire of the Orthodox Church “to communicate and embrace all of the country’s residents irrespective of their religious persuasion,” the deputy minister enthused. The Church has donated 3 hectares of land, worth an estimated 13 million euros, for the creation of a Muslim cemetery in western Athens. In July 2006 the Greek government approved the building of a mosque near the center of Athens although works have yet to begin. | GR Rookie | Re: Church OKs Muslim cemetery in Athens If this keeps going it will give Muslims more reasons to come to Greece and before you know it Arabs and Pakistanis will swarm like insects into Greece just like they have done in western Europe. Soon they will demand special rights like polygamy, marriage between first cousins...etc. Something must be done to stop this! I can't wait to see what happens when muslims start getting offended by Christian symbols, etc in Greece and demand they be removed . What is the "church" going to do then? They have to accomadate them, after all they want to embrace and communicate with every religion.

| GR Fanatic | Re: Church OKs Muslim cemetery in Athens Why did the church agree to such an aberration ? What is the motive of it. ? I understand the stooges and parasites in the government taking parkinsonian actions of this nature, but the church ? This action is an acknowledgement of muslims being accepted and recognized as an integral element in our country. This action is anti-greek. As it is ,already there is an overabundance of sewer rats from Bangladesh, Pakistan and arabia, loitering and pestering our streets; now that they can be buried here, it is an encoruagement for more of this vermin to enter our land. Madness has no limits. |
