| Re: Do you go to church? Sadly there are corrupt priests, ministers etc. in all faiths. We may be critical but things could be worse; we could be Catholic. I know that my wife and extended family are completely disillusioned (I wouldn't let my children be altar boys because I didn't trust the priest). It's sad.
However, I must share an amusing anecdote. Last year, on the front page of the weekend feature page of the newspaper there were these two stories (the headlines say it all)
1000 CATHOLIC PRIESTS INVESTIGATED FOR CHILD ABUSE IN THE GREATER BOSTON AREA
GREEK ORTHODOX PRIEST CHIDES PRESS FOR EXPOSING HIS TRYST WITH PROSTITUTE
Different problems wouldn't you say? |

The Catholic priests have damage their reputation. I dont know how anyone would commit child abuse with a child. How can they say they are men of God when they commit such acts of inhumanity. |

| Re: Do you go to church? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. As`a greek of Diaspora i consider the church as a continuation and extention to my country. My family and I go to church as often as work permits, ( Almost every sunday for family.) The undersigned whenever do work permits.
Said that i would like to clarify a point. For me it is not only the religious part which brings me to church. It is also the longing for my country. Therefore i go to church as a greek first and as a christian second. Now if i beleive ?? yes i do. MY beleive is rather abstract than literal. That is how i understand God..
and perhaps howMy God understands me..................
