| Admins | Re: Learning greek Online translators can be useful for simple translations like words or 3-4 word sentences, but when it comes to more complicated things, the mistakes of online translators are a lot. Especially when you translate between two languages with completely different structure, like Greek and English. This can disorientate a person that has not good knownledge in Greek or he is learning now. Nikodime, if you have any questions about Greek feel free to ask me. For a more organized learning, if you come in Greece you can check for the book "Τα νέα ελληνικά για ξένους" from the Aristotelean Univercity of Thessaloniki (Patakis editions). It's a relatively simple book, but good and effective for learners of the Greek language from what I've seen so far. |

| We live among them | Re: Learning greek My advice for learning a language is: First learn the alphabet and how to read and pronounce the letters and words. Then, the identifying of the words meaning will come easily.
