Ancient Ruins in Greece

Besides the beautiful Parthenon and the Acropolis I suggest for those who have not seen it yet to go to Kavala and visit the ruins their. Where exactly in Kavala I cant recall but they are easy to find just ask someone.

Re: Ancient Ruins in Greece

Im waiting until they discover Alexander the Greats tomb even if he is not buried in Greece I would definately visit it. If they find it in the Middle East somewhere Ill visit real fast even if it means I have a chance of getting my head cut off by the local savages.

You can add the ancient site at Knossos, Crete and Ancient Corinth.

Re: Ancient Ruins in Greece

A really interesting archaeological site that is not so famous is the Palace of Nestor here in Messinia. You can't find much info on it in the net but the place is worth a visit.

Re: Ancient Ruins in Greece

I think the temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion (70 km south of Athens) is pretty cool.
