ATHENS (Thomson Financial) - Greece's imports fell 11.7 percent to 4.388 billion euros in May, according to provisional data on merchandise trade from the National Statistics Service of Greece (NSS).
The NSS added that exports for May grew 21.2 percent year-on-year to 1.594 billion euros.
Imports from June 2007 until May 2008 posted a 1.9 percent year-on-year increase, while exports over the period lost 1.8 percent from last year.
