BRUSSELS (ANA-MPA) -- The Greek economy grew by 3.6 percent in the first quarter of 2008, compared with the corresponding period last year, Eurostat announced on Wednesday. In its final estimates over economic growth rates in the European Union, the EU executive’s statistics agency said Eurozone’s economy grew by 2.1 percent in the January-March period, from 2.2 percent an initial forecast, while in the EU-27 economic growth also slowed to 2.3 pct from 2.5 pct.
