I disagree, the figure is far too high. I would say its more like 20%, also you have to look at pictures of men not just women as remember Turk's would kidnap Armenian, Greek and various Slavic women and make their wives. This is why Turkish women look more European than Turkish men.

The kidnappings you are referring to took place in the past centuries. Therefore the descedants of Turkish men with non-Turkish women are a mixture of both, as children take genes from both parents. It isn't that males take from the father, and females from the mother....

Its funny though, a lot of Turks when they wanted to get under the Greek skin would say that we are all Turks because of the long occupation and the injustices that occurred - but obviously for the Turks to admit that they are of Greek decent will defeat all nationalist values.

This is racial classification within the scope of anthropological science which claims that 80% of todays Turkish population are not of Turkic origin do to the fact that only 20% are Turanids (proto-Turkic origin). Im just copying and pasting here.

Its not the issue of last 100 years,its the issue of 1000 years, Turkification process of Anatolia.

Greek types (do to the complexity of Greek history) can contain several different racial types.

-Eastern Mediterranean's (are in effect hellenized Minoans with minor Hellenic racial influence).

-Dinarized Mediterranean's (are Minoan-Hellenic racial mix since original Hellenes were of Dinaric race such as Dorians and Acheans).

There are 4 major types in Anatolia;

-Eastern Mediterranean's (20%),
-Dinaricized Mediterranean's (35%),
-Irano-Afghans (25%-eastern Turkey, Kurds),
-Turanids (20%) .

Eastern Mediterraneans are 40% of Greece, 25% of Romania (Black sea region), 60% of Bulgaria and 20% of Aegean Turkey and all of those are areas of Greek settlements.

Dinarized Mediterraneans are 25% of Greece, and 35% of Turkey. Dinaric element in this type in Turkey is either from the same source as in Greece (Acheans and other original Hellenes) or very closely related people to original Hellenes such as Frigians,etc (all of whom were thorouhly hellenized by the time of arival of Turkic invaders).

Also majority of southern Italy (which is also of Greek descent and it was known in ancient times as Magna Graecia or Bigger Greece since it contained a larger number of Greece than Greece itself at one point) is of Dinarized Mediterranean type thus proving on another example that this was one of the two basic racial types of Greek settlers.

This is why Turkish women look more European than Turkish men.

The people of the village are Muslims but the whole villagers speak Greek.Turkish media made a documentary about the Greek speaking population in Iskenderli.Turkey says they are Turkish. If they are Turkish how they learned Greek language?(they are villagers) Sure these people know their background (?).

There are many villages like that in that region.

A documantary on the issue is now available in Greek Realm. It is a Greek documantary about the Greeks of Pontus TODAY. They are converted to Islam but a lot of them still revognize and they speak Pontian Greek. It is an extremely interesting documentary, I believe all the Greeks here have to see it.

These are not what your typical Turks look like and I've seen lots of them as there are thousands in London. How did these Greeks become Turks, as far as i'am aware Turks turkify people then mix with them. Don't Turks mix with each other, if so then these people are part Turk? Most Greeks just didn't become moslems, they either escaped or were murdered. The only Turks that are crypto Greeks that I'am aware of are the Greeks that remained in the Pontos region.

If there is a lot of Greek blood with Turks, I think it would've occured when the Ottomans took over Anatolia. For the early invasions it was etheir conversion to Islam or death. But eventually many Greek settlements did stay Greek. But its hard to say how many Greeks converted and/or took up the Turkish language and developed a Turkish national conscieousness. Also i wouldn't be surprised if this occured to other European groups in Anatolia.

As for those pictures, Turks put up their more "white/European" pics for propaganda purposes.
