| GR Fanatic | Hurricane IKE Well, looks like IKE is coming right at Houston. I will be without internet for (possibly) up to three weeks. Hopefully not. The hurricane is still 300 (give or take) miles from us but you guys should see the winds already. There is massive panic, the streets are packed to max and the stores are sold out. No gas. On Galveston island the waves are already coming over the sea wall. Anyway, wish us Texas Greeks luck ! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. | GR Elite | Re: Hurricane IKE Take care man. I can tell a hurricane will be a higher category by how much the gas stations jack the prices days in advance....

| GR Fanatic | Re: Hurricane IKE Thank you brothers and sisters. Your kind words meant a lot to us! We got through OK. There was a lot of damage. Most of the city has no power but we got ours on late yesterday (?). Downtown Houston was ripped to pieces. Galveston island was virtually destroyed. But not too many people were killed (thankfully). We were hiding in the hallway of our home and let me tell you it was extremely scary. The wind banging will unnerve you. We still have food supply problems and little gas. But we are thankful to have water back on and especially our electricity. Thank God. Hopefully soon we can put this behind us. I was in Rita also in 2005, in East Texas. This (Ike) was too soon. Again, sincere thanks for the prayers and well wishes. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
