My bank account got invaded

This morning I woke up to check my bank account like I do every morning and I noticed over 700 and something dollars in purchases to tbe Collectibles today, and a payment to napster for 1.99 all happening 08/02! I came from the bank and did a fraud report the lady also told me that they tried to make a purchase for 866 dollars to Suppliesguys but didnt go through thankfully because they had used up all my money with tbe collectibles. Can you freakin believe that? Luckily Im going to get my money back with in two weeks but just goes to show it can happen to anyone.

Gamiseta phoenix. My frape almost came out of my nostrils when I visited my account on line! I think I know who the culprit is but I dont want to believe it. Also Im going to wait for the bank to do their investigation and see what they come up with.

A, I do hope that you get your dolh back and if you are referring that you know that some 1 that took your dolh then mate welcome to the real word .. EKI POU DEN TO PERIMENIS AS THAT SAYING GOES!! i am still recovering from a case of always from the person you least expect.. some time i even remember Julius Caesar's words AND YOU TOO BRUTAS!!

That's messed up and you think you know who it is???? Good thing at least you are protected against that and will recover what was stolen.

Last month someone used our credit card to buy online clothes in England from Burberry. Thank god there was someone awake at the bank and called asking if this was correct cause we never order online clothes....

These are the types of crimes that fall under identity theft no? These are new crimes that we have to worry about now adays. So what happen to the person who attempted to use your card?

if anyone is interested. After something like this happening to me who knows what else they can do with your identity. So this will protect me and they are suppose to be good. I have my whole family on it including my children.

Yes it does fall under identity theft. If they have your credit card information then they possibly had access to all the vital information that make up a credit card (your SSN, your mother's maiden name etc.). Once they have those pieces they can go on to do other things like take your identity.

I would highly recommend checking your credit record. That credit record is harder to fix than a bank account and the earlier caught the better.

In general identity thieves have gotten more sophisticated. In the past they would rely on careless users not disposing credit card statements or bank statements. Now they just go to the source and take the banks', financial institutions', vendo'sr etc. entire customer database from a crooked employee or crooked I.T. person.
