  | Favorite Beaches This is my most favorite beach. The waves here are pretty calm but there are rocky areas where the waves are much higher as the beach is at ocean's edge. The sand is extremely fine and white, no stones. I can still smell the salty air and hear the waves rolling on the beach at night.

| Re: Favorite Beaches The thing that always strikes me is how few people there are on the beaches of Vietnam. They are pretty much clean and unspoiled by tourists. More on Nha Trang Beach:
When I was in Greece, the only thing I did all day was sitting in front of the sea and watching the waves. I never got tired of it. -------------- Being in the shape of a thin S, Vietnam is made all the way on the East side as coastlines, so there are innumerable beaches. Beaches that I have never seen and am now discovering.

As far as beaches go, I don't know what the name of the beach was, but it was on the island of Mykonos. I also like the beaches of northern Greece, like on the west coast, by the island of Corfu and Halkidiki, by Thessaloniki. These beaches aren't on the beaten path of large amount of tourists. Also, the beaches of northern Greece have more green foilage around them. Greenery and beaches seem to go together pretty good. As far as Vietnam, I'm going to need a tour guide. When do we leave? The beach of Halkidiki looks very beautiful from the pictures I saw. I like beaches with as few people as possible and better if there is nobody but me. That's interesting about the greenery around Greek beaches, I usually see mountains. I did not know that Greeks go in Vietnam, considering Greece is a very beautiful country. It is not very developed for tourism and that's the good part of it. Although it does appear that more and more people go there as it is a very cheap destination.
