Not that we're looking for creatures like ourselves – the environments of the other planets we know are much too harsh for fragile mammals like us. But life takes many forms; scientists have found micro-organisms around deep ocean thermal vents and under seemingly barren Antarctic rocks. Similar environments may exist elsewhere in the Solar System. Nor are we restricting our search to creatures alive today – just like on Earth, living organisms on other planets may have left behind fossils and other traces for us to find. These ingredients, the basic necessities of life, have all been present on other bodies besides Earth: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. This rock, which landed in Australia in 1969, was found to contain amino acids, the building blocks of protein. But where did these molecules originate? In space or here on Earth? - Usable Energy
- Basic Nutrients (Like Iron)
- Organic Materials (Like Methane)
- Liquid Water
Those key ingredients for life were present in the gas and dust became our solar system. But they would have boiled away from Earth in the early years; this planet was too hot when the solar system was young to retain the amount we have today. In the outer reaches, where the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud are today, temperatures were a little lower. Did comets or asteroids from these distant regions deliver the building blocks of life? Previous observations of Comet Linear have made this explanation seem possible, at least in the case of water. Rosetta, a European Space Agency mission with NASA participation, will test this theory when it visits a comet. Is life an inevitable outcome of Solar System evolution, and therefore a potentially common phenomenon, or was the emergence of life on Earth merely an accident of chemistry, dynamics, and timing, unlikely to be reproduced elsewhere? And why did it happen so quickly? The first life seems to have emerged just a few hundred million years after Earth cooled. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. The photos on the right from Mars Global Surveyor in 1998 show it all depends on how the shadows fall. [+ more] Future missions, such as the Terrestrial Planet Finder will incorporate instruments designed for finding life. At a Glance...- The basic necessities of life – water, organic material, nutrients, and energy – we know to have existed on other planets, now or in the past.

We are not alone in this planet system.Should we be afraid?noone knows but be sure on the next 20-30 years the governments will reveal us their existence. How do I know that tell me Im crazy but a very good friend of mine and his other friends called a spirit and asked it for many things one of the things they asked was for the aliens that they were green little people. Don't know if he was speaking the truth but I am sure 100% that they exist.

I'm sure that aliens exists and someday we will see them...

I mean I find it hard as to why people actually do think we are alone, the universe is huge it is endless, no one knows how big it is! Also it is expending all the time.
I believe in life beyond earth, it is really hard to imagine that there isn’t life out there, and to think that we are the only form of life is silly! Yeah no one can prove that there is life out there, however in time we will find new forms of life |

We are definately not alone and Im definately sure their is life in some other solar system light years away. It does not have to be life as AI it could just be a living organism or anything. I guess we will never find out by the time they come with technology to travel like Star Trek lol hahah we wont be around. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater.
