If anything the American dollar needs to start climbing back up but I dont think it will ever have more value than the Euro. | But if the American dollar starts to climb back up, that means the Euro drops down. |

The thing I feel really bad about is for all the Greeks who immigrated to the States and are near retirement. Going back to Greece for retirement will be difficult because Social Security will not be enough. |

| ^ haha u are right! Last time I visited I had gifts for the relos . Not all of them coz that would be getting ridiculous (soooooo many of them ) But , one thing I find curious about Greeks is that they dont really seem to say thankyou ... hmmm lol
Most didnt bother giving any gift or souvenir back either (not that I expected it ... but Im just noting the difference )
I think life in Greece is very expensive , and many of them struggle eventhough they seem to be living a great lifestyle (? )

According to the official stats one year ago Greece was the 2nd most expensive country of Europe (after Denmark) and one of the most expensive in the world. Now it is even worse, after the price increases took place this year. This makes things difficult for the lowly-paid which are many, but I can't say that things are so tragic as some media present them.
What do I mean? So many complain that they don't have money, and they go to bouzoukia almost every night.... The cafe strings which charge 5 euros for a (medium to small sized) coffee are full all the time.... The same with the cloth shops of top brands where a pair of jeans costs 100 euros average....
The problem of expensiveness is substantial, but how to be solved when everyone spends and spends? |
