You sound like Xerxes with the Persians when he thought he was just going to waltz into Greece and take out Athens and Sparta.

What does the size of the country matter?

Remember this: Quality not quantity.
I agree but it is my belief if there was a War between Turkey and Greece it would devastate BOTH nations! it is a war that Intelligent people on both sides don't want!

Agree 100%. A historical example is Japan dominating China.
Maybe BUT Japan NEVER invaded deep into China because they knew they would get swallowed up by the Chinese!!!

Very true. It is NATO which is firing the atmosphere for their own reasons

Re: THE TURKEY vs GREECE War Scenario

The best thing to do is always try and avoid a war the outcome is never pretty. Anyone who wants war is a madman in my eyes. Regardless or not the article was a very good one on a what if situation.

War should NEVER be taken lightly! And if forced to wage war a nation should it wage it fully not half ass it like what is going on in Iraq! I have friends who where in Iraq and they talk about how the Politicians hold back the US troopers for instance they know WHO the Insurgents are but they can't go and get them because of the media backlash that the Bush administration would face. WHO WAGES WAR like it and wins???? NO ONE!

Thats not a normal war its a messed up one. Its hard to fight someone who is shooting at you from a crowd of people then a second later is hold a baby in his arms acting like what just happen. If the American soldiers start shooting into the crowd the media will portray them as murderes with no concern. If anything they are sitting ducks out their. Its a shame if you ask me. Their is no way that war is going to be won.

Exactly right, but this is how the US goes to "war". This isn't a war. This is a police action. If someone is your enemy enough where you have to invade a foreign country, then the whole place should be destroyed or taken. You don't go in and play patty cake with the enemy.

This isn't a war. We could win a war if we wanted. In a war, you go in and take it out. Or you just start carpet bombing etc.

This should not be called a war.

Personally, if I were to even bother with Iraq. I would have went in, taken out Saddam, and got out. Let the animals there duke it out. It's not our fault the people there are stupid sheep getting led around by a handful of fanatics. We would make a threat that if any idiots in there have any ideas to start any crap with us, etc, the whole country will be leveled the next time around, along with any of their ally countries etc.
