  | The case of the disappearing Greek flag The case of the disappearing Greek flag By Lawrence Mann: Saturday, June 7, 2008 A GREEK flag at the entrance to the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) in Nicosia has caused quite a stir this week, appearing and then disappearing. The flag, which has been there for years, was taken down several months ago, with rumours circulating that it was removed ‘for political reasons’. But it made a sudden reappearance on Tuesday, and senior management decided to take it down. It then reappeared again on Wednesday. An e-mail which was sent to the Phileleftheros newspaper by a group calling itself, the National Front of Cyprus, claimed responsibility, saying they had put the flag up as a symbolic action. The e-mail contained a statement which read: “The youth of Cyprus stands tall, ready to repel sneaky plans for the dehellenisation of Cyprus.” When asked to comment, the paper quotes CyBC General Manager Themis Themistocleous as saying that he has “more serious issues to deal with than this nonsense”. He apparently ordered that the flag be left flying in an effort to put an end to the matter. A source at CyBC yesterday told the Mail that, “when the flag was first taken down there were rumours that a petition went round demanding that it be put back up.” Yesterday, the flag could be seen outside the corporation, along with a Cypriot and EU flag. | GR Elite  | Re: The case of the disappearing Greek flag The Hellene citizens of Cyprus, the indiginous people of Cyprus, should be allowed to allowed to express their Hellenism. Let it be clear to the "EU" and all the globalists that in Cyprus the heartbeat of Hellas lives strongly!
