Its appropriate that they side with Turks as Turks and Skops are the only ones despicable enough to abduct Greek children. The turks did it in ottoman times for janissary soldiers while the skops did it during the communist times even prompting Harry Truman to make a UN resolution.

They seem to be renegade turks; a basket case of a people, naturally they'll favor their mongol cousins. There is too much trash in the Balkans, too much and too dangerous. The mongol turks can feel at home amongst their brethren in the previously held ottoman provinces.

Gül says Skopia treated unfairly at NATO summit

President Abdullah Gül yesterday pledged a continuation of Turkey's continuous support for Skopia's integration into European-Atlantic bodies and said a decision to block NATO membership for the Balkan country at a summit of the alliance last month was unfair.

Gül was speaking at a joint press conference following a meeting with Skopian President Branko Crvenkovski. Gül arrived in Skopia last week for a presidential summit of Central European countries, an annual event he attended as guest of honor. "Skopia has been done an injustice. ... I repeated once more to Mr. President that Turkey has been supporting NATO's open door policy and that Skopia should be a member of NATO since it has fulfilled [requirements], among other things. In Bucharest we, as Turkey, did our best, but unfortunately a shadow was cast over the NATO summit. I hope that a solution will be found in short order and that Skopia will become a full member of NATO," Gül said, while also reiterating support for Skopia's bid for European Union membership.

Participants of the summit extended support to Turkey's EU membership in their speeches. While Crvenkovski said Turkey was an exceptionally important country for the EU, Slovenian President Danilo Turk, whose country has been serving as the rotating EU president, pointed out that Turkey's membership was key to the EU becoming a global power. Turk said pre-set perspectives for EU membership could not be changed after the beginning of negotiations.

Turkish citizens of Skopian origin and Skopian citizens of Turkish origin play an important role in the improvement of bilateral relations between Skopia and Turkey, President Gül also said yesterday at the press conference.

Around 4 percent of Skopia's population is of Turkish origin. Three Turkish political parties will be running in the upcoming elections: the Turkish Democratic Party, the Party of the Turkish Movement of Skopia and the Turkish National Unity Party. Gül called for unity among Turks. "Show loyalty to the country in which you've been living; work for its prospering and to strengthen it," he also said.

The Skopians are siding with anyone who is against the interests of Greece, no matter "DNAs", "good/bad sides" or other karagiozilikia like these. They sided with the Germans, the Bulgarians, with Turks, with Americans....

The big irony is that the Skopians are making Greek flags with swastikas or resemble Greece with nazi Germany, while they were the ones who sided with nazi and Greece lost almost a million of people to the nazis.

Nazi memorabilia , emblems, signs , are means to snuff out disgruntlement, and potential political and social issues. Nazism is equated with nefariousness, iniquity, and skulduggery. Lucifer incarnate would be considered a saint compared to an "alleged nazi" Beelzebub. It is a cheap and intellectually inexpensive insult and affront from the deliverer to the receiver. In reality it is utterly meaningless, but it serves to put your enemy, whoever it might be, on pavlovian knee jerk defensive posture.
