Picture from YouTube Video

How can one save a picture from a YouTube video, or if not possible to save, at least to print the picture? I would like actually to save a picture as a desktop.

Not sure about that one really. I know their are youtube video download programs where you can download the video but thats all I know of.

Thanks, Prokomenos. That could be tricky how to do it, I guess. I ask this because I saw in the Il Divo video I last posted in Opera and Pop Opera, that the poster asked viewers not to lift pictures to use as pictures or avatars. I don't want a picture from that video, but from an Elvis video, he he.

You can go to a web page like keepvid.com to download a youtube file directly to your computer. It will save in .flv format so you would need a player. There are other sites that do the same thing.

Also you can always make a screen snapshot of any active window by holding down 'alt' and 'print screen' together. Some keyboards label print screen differently but it is usually to the left of 'scroll lock'.
once you snap a window, it goes into memory so you will need to "paste" into a program that can handle graphics. Even MS word can take it.

Mac and Unix have similar commands too.

really , here's something for you to look @ > voobys.com. with that you will be able to down load you-tube clips and will be able to convert the formats..

Here is how you do it. Windows comes with everything you need.

1. First hit the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard.
2. Then open "Windows Paint" (comes with Windows).
3. In Paint click 'Edit' at the top and select 'Paste.'
4. You will now see the pic. Crop it to your liking.
5. Select 'File' at the top and select 'Save As' (where you can pick the file format)

You can take any image on the net like this. Hope this helps.
