Ethernet and WiFi
The phenomenal new AVP-A1HDCI controller can be easily added to your home network with its built-in Ethernet and WiFi 802.11 b/g connectivity. Both network protocols allow custom integrators the ability to diagnose, correct, update and remotely perform maintenance on the units without the need to travel to your home. You’ll also be able to log onto a special website and download software updates directly from Denon when they become available.

The advanced Silicon Optix Realta chipset (used in Denon’s renowned DVD players) enables enhanced video performance with upconversion and scaling to 1080p from all analog and digital sources, including the ability to use Realta Noise Reduction circuitry for 1080p input signals.

Multi-source, multi-zone
The AVP-A1HDCI is a multiple source/multiple zone unit capable of feeding up to four zones and providing digital output to Zone 2. Users enjoy discrete command, source select, volume, power and more in each zone. In addition, three discrete and independent tuners; AM/FM, XM satellite radio ready (subscription required) and HD Radio provide for multi-zone distribution with high quality playback and support of multicasting from HD Radio.

The AVP-A1HDCI features the company’s newly designed Graphical User Interface (GUI) that makes accessing all the advanced features simpler and more intuitive than ever. The unit is SimplayHD, DLNA and Windows Vista certified, and allows users to stream multimedia content from network attached devices including computers and the popular iTunes software as well as media servers and network attached storage (NAS) drives.

Six HDMI 1.3a inputs and two outputs and an abundance of other digital and analog connections give you plenty of flexibility for even the most complex system setups.
Built-in Audyssey MultEQ XT Pro and Dynamic EQ room equalization
The AVP-A1HDCI features built-in Audyssey MultEQ XT Pro automated room and speaker equalization system. Your Audyssey-trained installer can take measurements from up to 32 locations in your listening room and then plot ultra-precise correction curves for each speaker in your system. Once these curves are loaded into the AVP’s onboard Audyssey DSP processor, you’ll enjoy dramatically smoother and more neutral sound from multiple listening locations.

In addition, the AVP-A1HDCI is currently the world’s only A/V controller certified for use with Audyssey’s amazing new Dynamic EQ system, which applies volume level-adaptive corrections to ensure that dynamics and overall tonal balance sound rich and full even when volumes are turned down.

Enhanced music performance from compressed sources
If you enjoy streaming music via Ethernet / Wi-Fi or listening to your iPod or MP3 player via an iPod dock or USB flash drive/HDD, the AVP-A1HDCI features an audio restorer that enhances compressed music files.

HD Radio and XM Satellite
