I dont know whenever I read books on ancient Greeks they commonly refer to the Greeks in that region as Dorians. | |

Weren't the Spartans supposed to be Dorians too? The Athenians Ionians?

Yes, they belong in these categories that's why they are not mentioned on the list. Macedonians should not be mentioned too as they belong to the Dorians.
Unless the list was more detailed and included subtribes too. | |

King David had troops called the Cherethites & Pelethites. The Cherethites are thought by some scholars to have originated in Crete. The Pelethites are thought to be Philistines, a sea people of possible Greek origin. | |
